Two second places and 9th place in the overall standings, but a bitter weekend due to the disappearance of Vignales
Perfect weekend for SMW Racing on the Andalusian track of Jerez del la Frontera, where Inigo Iglesias conquers two second places and climbs to 9th position in the overall standings of the World Supersport 300.
Since Friday, the Spaniard showed how high the potential could be on this track, confirming it definitively on Saturday, finishing in 4th position on the starting grid just a few tenths from the first. Saturday’s race was nothing short of spectacular, with Inigo having been in the top three from the first lap, also facing 7/8 overtakes per lap, to stay in the first three positions. At the end of the third to last lap when he was first, he was overtaken by the second on the finish line, but after the conclusion of the first sector of the track, due to a serious accident, which subsequently took away the young Dean Berta Vignales, the flag was displayed red, thus interrupting the race and confirming the ranking that sold Inigo in second position.
