SMW Racing warms up for its ‘home round’, Iglesias and Millan keen for Misano

Iglesias and Millan are eager to do well at the Pirelli Emilia Romagna Round in front of fans and sponsors at the Misano World Circuit
Set to take place this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round will be a special event for the SMW team. Now back together again, Spanish duo Iglesias and Millan will be aiming to do well in front of fans and sponsors at what is the home round of the Italian-Polish team. Inigo Iglesias will head out on the technical Italian track bolstered by the podium he recently scored at Estoril, while AlexMillan, riding a positive wave since returning from injury at the Portuguese round, will aim to confirm his growth path at the Italian track. The SMW Racing Kawasaki Ninja 400 bikes have proved quick and competitive since the beginning of the year, the team standing out as a frontrunner in WorldSSP300, a gateway category to WorldSSP and WorldSBK. With a beating Italian heart ready to head out on track, the SMW team is looking for its first win of the season at its home track.
The Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round will get underway on Friday 10 June with first practice at 09:45 (CET). Superpole will run on Saturday 11 at the same time, before the first race of the weekend kicks off at 12:40 (CET). On Sunday the WorldSSP300 class will close out the WorldSBK weekend at the Misano World Circuit with race 2, scheduled to begin at 14:00 (CET).
